Sofie’s Paradox

@ Work

I call it the PARADOX, because what I’m about to write gives an excellent description of the world we live in today. To begin, we have taller buildings, but shorter temper; wider freeways, but narrower viewpoints; we spend more but have less; we buy more but enjoy it less. We have bigger houses and smaller families; more conveniences but less time; we have more degrees from school but less common sense; more knowledge but less judgment; more experts, but more problems; more medicine but less wellness. We talk too much, love too seldom and lie too often. We’ve been all the way to the moon and back, but have trouble crossing the street to meet a new neighbor (since 2006 upto present I only know one neighbor! I’m not really good roaming around our Subd..) We’ve split the atom, but not our prejudice; we write more but learn less; plan more but accomplish less. These are days of two incomes, but more annulment; of fancier houses, but broken homes. It is a time when there is much in the show window, and nothing in the stockroom. So what you think?..

  1. The paradox of life. 🙂

What I think about this post? – makes one realize the importance of “appreciating” the little things that ocme our way, everyday. Happiness can be found in little things that oftentimes we tend to neglect.

Nice blog Sofie. Will be your regular fan. How I wish I could write the way do. Hehe.
