waiting for my number to ba called #710 after 3 hours!

Signed copy of Nicholas Sparks' The Best of Me

I have a long time relationship with books and the scent of it makes me oh-so-high. Whenever I am in a book store or in a library, the feeling is so euphoric and magical πŸ™‚ Nothing beats an old school way of reading.

As I am watching news as a nightly-habit before I sleep, I was amazed that it was Nicholas Sparks that Boy Abunda was interviewing! What I imagined him is an old man, wrinkled skin and white hair. I was surprised that he is a gym buff, 45 years old and youthful- handsome. He is a family man with 5 kids and a loving wife, which he always adores like he said in his books and live interviews. Imagine… the man who made the – Notebook. Le sigh*

I love the works of Nicholas Sparks (The Notebook and A Walk to Remember) He really makes me feel like I am in his world whenever I am reading his books. My heart sings praises in his every works like my favorite authors (Paulo Coelho, Judith McNaught, Haruki Murakami etc) His stories is just simply romantic, moving and profound.

So, I decided to go to his book launching and all I wanted is to have a picture of him with or without an opportunity of photo ops or even signature. It was all set on my mind… fortunately, God gave me more than my heart desires. I am lucky to be with a friend named, Wenchie with her daughter who is also a Nicholas Sparks’ fan. We decided to go together,Β  bought one book each and got lucky to have a signing pass through lucky draw out of 1000+ fans who are hoping to get it. Some already bought five (5) copies of book (The Best of Me Php 549.0 each) just to have a chance to get a signing pass. he signed more than 1000+ books literally and imagine how his hands felt during longs hours of signing which I believe he also enjoyed. I am #710 and waited for 3 hours for a seconds moment with him.

I really consider my self blessed in such a wonderful event. If you read his works, touched by it and even carved his wonderful quotable lines in his book in your heart or even take it as your guide in life… you’ll understand my heart desires upon meeting a genius man behind the wonderful stories of all time. I just admire his talent!

I am so thankful that National Bookstore brought him here which is the first Asian country that he had visited πŸ™‚ My 2nd time to attend book launching (first was at the Peninsula, Abueva)

I am still half-way organizing my vanity desk until I am contented. I just need to complete all the essential organizer and ready to blog πŸ™‚

IΒ  store all my make-up & beauty toolsΒ  in a train case (click, click here) and in a 4-layer durabox green drawer even the one that I use for everyday but unfortunately it takes time for me to find what I really need so I bought this clear acrylic lipstick organizer in Rustan’s.

I just need one for vanity desk so I can easily pick my favorite’s for the chosen bullet for the day. I love this one because it’s a bit roomy πŸ™‚ it can accommodate 2-3 lipstick depending on the size. If you have MAC bullets, two pieces will be fine in one square without popping out!

And for those I use occasionally or depending on my mood… stays inside the train case and durabox.

Thanks Mary for your wonderful entry! I am so inspired to finish my vanity project and buy those MAC inspired beaker πŸ™‚

This is how I organize my everyday lippie loves in clear acrylic organizer.

Hi everyone!

Last Saturday, I was invited to attend a Sparty courtesy of Diana Stalder by Dermaline which was organized by Noria Adam Lim or simply IA. I am so happy to be part of the first leg as we celebrate the 15th Anniversary of Dermaline with other passionate beauty maven’s like me πŸ™‚

When I signed up, I didn’t expect anything in return as I always love attending beauty-related events. All I want is to have more knowledge about beauty products, techniques and other innovations in discovering fountain of youth LOL!

I never tire knowing all about beauty stuff. It really makes me happy, like a kid in a candy shop.

Where the magic happens!

The Casmara Treatment

A must-try at Dermaline that offers different Casmara Masks for every skin-type. I already experienced their regular facial in Dermaline branch in Sauyo but Casmara wasn’t available during that time (2-3 years ago) It was okay, but nothing compare to the new facial treatment!

Ms. Roselle, my facial attendant ❀

Deep Cleansing

Ms. Roselle thoroughly cleanse off the make-up that I am wearing but I asked to leave my eye shadows for photo op LOL πŸ™‚ but I can say that I was quiet impressed with the procedure in deep cleansing and skin exfoliation. She’s not in a hurry like I experienced in other spa hehe, she took her time and made me feel oh-so relaxed.

I told her before hand that my pain tolerance in pricking is low so she has to understand when tears starts to roll down πŸ™‚ Amazingly, she has a magical hands! I am so into-ZZZzzz-land! Better ask Dermaline Magallanes for Ms.Roselle as your facial attendant!moving on, she has to wake me up so I can see the dirt removed from my face… dami! yuck. (Thank god, di ako kinulang sa hininga o napapasigaw! borlogs)

Casmara Re-affirming Mask 2020

I have tried a lot of different facial mask and this one is way too different. At first I am kinda scared because it needs to occupy my eyes and lips (no chikahan with my friend/ room mate, Jackie Go, who also attended the sparty)

Mask composed of diatoms, which absorb impurities, oil, and catabolic substances that result from cellular functioning.
The algae ingredient supplies very good skin hydration.

It is suitable for oily and combination skins.

I love the effect of this mask on my skin during the procedure. It’s cold, relaxing and I love the scent that once again led me to dream land.

Jackie has a “cuter” mask, its my favorite color pink!

I assumed that her treatment used “SENSITIVE MASK 2040” because there’s two “pink” mask and I don’t know which one is one, let’s ask her?! hehe. Her Casmara treatment: Absolute rt4 retinol *Wrinkle prevention* (good for dry skin)

But hey, it is much cuter but I am not recommending to you readers to look for “cuter” mask πŸ™‚ look for the one that suits your skin aight?!

Jackie and I

Light therapy that freshens and stimulates your skin to breathe. It is also good for hard-to-heal wounds and scars to prevent keloid πŸ™‚

* I love the pricking (no to murder face)

* The effect of the mask is phenomenal and my skin looks good and relaxed.

* Great to know that I can use theΒ  mask again so I take it home! Thanks πŸ™‚

* It’s so inexpensive and effective so I really encourage everyone to at least try it!

Reminder: when coughing and having sore throat.

Hi everyone!

I just want to share about this interesting fact when dealing with cough and sore throat as I have been also a victim of this so called natural treatment. I got this information fromΒ  Xeng Zulueta, one of my trusted beauty guru. According to her Pulmonary Doctor: when coughing/sore throat/sick:Β  STAY AWAY fr KLMNOP (kalamansi,Lemon,Mango,Nuts,Orange & Pineapple)

The fibers in KLMNOP will make any cough/sore throat and breathing problem much much much worse. Also when you’re recuperating/recovering fr being sick w a cough/sore throat/flu KLMNOP will get u sick again. – Xeng

Interesting huh? such a revelation and I am going to follow it, just take Salabat instead if you relly want to drink something aside from medicine.

House of Obagi

My new skin's best friend πŸ™‚

Hi everyone!

As part of my adventure in searching for the perfect skin regimen, I am now trying the Obagi system from House of Obagi. My dermatologist from Belo suggested it to me unfortunately during that time I have no budget yet for the Obagi system. It’s pricey like La Mer but much cheaper (much better) LOL I think, I’ll try the Obagi system for a while.

I’ve been using it for 2 weeks now and I am loving the result so far… but not yetΒ  swearing on this product since, I have a 6 months observation before I totally L O V E it πŸ™‚ but I am happy that it gives me a fresher skin each day. I hope this will be once again, my skin’s best friend for years. It should be πŸ™‚

Husband’s 30th Birthday

Hi everyone!

Contis best sellers

Celebrating birthday with my husband for almost 14 years can be challenging, as I am in forever research of what kind of gifts to give him πŸ™‚ from cheezy to splurging… name it! (pwera lang bahay at kotse hehe) I love surprising him with giftsΒ  no matter what…

I grew with a family that always celebrate occasions, my grand mother always make it a point that we have cake every year. Our favorite cake is from Goldilocks, Marshmallow cake!Β  We are so crazy about it and even we have the largest cake, it will only last for a day πŸ™‚ I carry that one as one of our family traditions.

Moving on, this is the first birthday I celebrate with my love as husband and wife. He just wanted to spend the whole day with me… cuddling in bed. Now, for a woman who loves to give surprises… how can I make a move with that kind of birthday celebration that he has in mind? So, as my gift to him… I bought him 2 cakes to represent his 3oth! I also planned to make delivery from my favorite spaghetti store, Ambers. The plan was to buy him a cake from Estrels, but when we were talking on the bed, he said he doesn’t like the cake from Estrels because he saw my “post it” from my vision board yay! So, to make the story short… I bought the 2 best sellers in Contis and bought grocery for his birthday food because I don’t want him to spend for his handa. We bought ingredients for spaghetti and he asked his mother to cook it for him since it is his favorite πŸ™‚

Grilling Liempo

A night before his birthday, he also said he wants to grill liempo with me as our highlight of the day πŸ™‚ but that day he suddenly wanted to go in Banawe and buy something for his car.. hmm for him as his birthday gift. When we got home, his mom already started the grilling, it was almost half-way when all is done. The liempo was prepared by his mom and it was truly yummy!

Annoying HBD!

Anyway, I am kinda sad that Contis doesn’t do the word art for Happy Birthday. I was so frustrated on how will I able to get an icing or a design that says “Happy Birtday”… I end up using sprinkles and made the annoying “HBD”Β  greeting. I never like it, but I have no choice πŸ™‚ Ta-dah, my first birthday cake- wording (palm face)

The nick name: I love to call him Nald, Nad (which was the one that fits the cake) or our endearment “Baby” or “Labs” and when I need to be formal or angry: Ronald.

with his nieces and Mom

We celebrated his birthday with his mom, sister-in-law, nieces and with my friend amiel that I invited to take photos for the our celebration. As his only Queen in his life, his wife… I have a lot of wishes for him such his happiness and good health. I love him to bits and he is my life… I will do everything for my family.

In God’s time… someday, we will blow candles in our birthdays with our future kid/s nah πŸ™‚ I can’t wait for that day!

I love you so much my dear husband, my sweetheart ❀

Pepsi Pinas!

As we tried to avoid “coke” sana… Pepsi naman hehe (may birthdayyyy!!!! puede!)
