Twilight: Breaking Dawn

Original Cover from Fully Booked (Php 399.00) free cover protection 🙂

Hi everyone!

The first time I saw the movie Twilight… I know I’ll be hooked! I am a sucker for love stories and the like. I watched it all over and over because it was hypnotizing 🙂 the chemistry plus the story is just too damn good in the movie so I didn’t bother to buy the book because when it comes to series in paperbacks, am not really a fan. To make the story short… I watched the following twilight saga by collecting DVD (to watch and watch it all over) then- Breaking Dawn came. As I watched the movie, all I did was giggle, laugh, tensed and the feeling of “OMG! now what?”

Since the part two will be (hopefully) launched next year… I had a sleepless night wanting to know what happened next. I lust to buy an e-book that very moment but couldn’t find a reliable source or simply a free download paradise… I woke up today and finished all my wifey duties then had an hour of rest to make sure my illness won’t attack me the moment I stepped out the house (vertigo, just happened last week/ friday)

As I braved the outside world, I am so giddy with a friend to hunt the book. I went to NBS (National Bookstore) but unfortunately they don’t have the original cover of the breaking dawn. The only available was the super big book that cost Php600.00 and the mass book (small) for Php 325.00. But as a book lover, once the story of the book hits the silver screen… I really dislike celebrity covers. It is not so- appealing from the luxurious pages of the book.

As I continue to search for braking dawn, Powerbooks (sister company of NBS) doesn’t also have the original cover. I was just losing hope… but fully booked saved the day! It might be a little expensive than NBS but heck, they provide free covering of books that you bought. Its a win-win situation! fyi, Powerbooks charges Php 30.00 for the cover of one book.

So, I bought the book and go home happy. Don’t get me wrong, I started to read on Chapter 18 already where I was so damn bitin from where the movie ended.

🙂 Happy Thanksgiving!

Alice in Sofie’s World

I must confess, I am no longer a home buddy (right now)

I mean 1-2 days I can stay home doing household chores or DVD marathon, Reading, Painting and Sleeping… but without something to do after 2-3 days like Work? errr- It will drive me crazy.

I love working, I love to see a part of me grows in professional world… not to forget the investments from my very own blood and sweat! Don’t you love seeing the result of your hardwork even if that will start on a simple MAC or CHANEL make-up set LOL? 🙂

Anyway, yesterday.. (Sunday) Right after work, I am super excited to watch Alice in Wonderland! It is one of my favorite’s (I Like, Snow White, Cinderella and Aladdin)

I can relate to the story, it really touch my heart and the script is just so amazing.

Curiouser and curiouser!

The White Queen: I like her not only because of her vows but also the character itself!! she’s also OC! haha.. and her magical fingers! so damn kaka-disturb hahaha.

Mad Hatter (and Johnny Depp ♥I’m a fan)

He played the role great! he really looks Mad!

The lines of Mad Hatter just wow- Analyze it and somewhere between the lines… you’ll find it moving and will make you think.

Twinkle, twinkle, little bat, / How I wonder what you’re at / Up above the world so high / Like a tea tray in the sky…
Alice: Why is a raven like a writing desk… you know, I think I can guess that one…
March Hare: You mean you think you know the answer?
Alice: Yes.
March Hare: Well, then, you should say what you mean!
Alice: I do – I mean, I mean what I say – it’s the same thing…
Mad Hatter: It’s not the same thing at all! You might as well say “I eat what I see” is the same as “I see what I eat!”

The Mad Hatter: There is a place. Like no place on Earth. A land full of wonder, mystery, and danger! Some say to survive it: You need to be as mad as a hatter.

*Taray diba?

The Cheshire Cat is a fictional cat popularised by Lewis Carroll’s depiction of it in Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland. The Cheshire Cat has had a notable impact on popular culture.

I like the cheshire, not only it is a fat cat with silliest grin.. I wanna know why he like to have mad hatter’s hat 🙂

well Red Queen attitude sucks! well it amuses me everytime she said: “Off with her/his Head” My gawd that si sooo sick. To command and kill that fast!!! whoa.

In the 2nd Part Alice in Wonderland these are some quotable quotes that i like from Red Queen:

Through the Looking Glass:
The Queen: It’s a poor sort of memory that only works backward.

Through the Looking Glass:
The Queen: Now, here, you see, it takes all the running you can do, to keep in the same place. If you want to get somewhere else, you must run at least twice as fast as that!

(I tell yeah the book is great, mapapaisip ka talaga)

There are lots of good lines in Alice Wonderland but what I admire most on this story is how Alice took control of her life after the incident in Rabbit Hole. Although she is very curious in everything… still it is her decision that matters most.

what about you? Do you do what you love to do?
