Parisian Chic: A style guide by Ines de la Fressange with Sophie Gachet (Php 1,265.00)
When I first discovered French literature during my high school days, I fell in love with Parisian style! I always tend to design my room as well as my wardrobe like a Parisian chic. I love the air of elegance and confidence of a Parisian chic as shown in story books, movies, the sexy language and attitude. How I wish I can meet one personally or even visit Paris my self *le sigh...
I even say to my self “think French” when I feel so tired walking or feel tamad to walk!
Parisians love to walk.
Anyway, Here’s a little info from Parisian Chic book that was given to me by my bestfriend Mylene as a birthday present!
Dress like a Parisian
Belle of the Ball
That’s all but it’s a fat book and detailed! lovet 🙂
My favorite part is Belle of the Ball
The Parisian loves talking about beauty, but hates spending hours in front of her bathroom mirror. She is not a devotee of multiple masks and day creams, preferring a healthy application of natural good sense and of course, the following top ten tips!
The top ten tips are so cool and real 🙂 I’ll share five:
Wear makeup every day, even on weekends. Your family wants to see you at your best, too!
Don’t go bankrupt buying expensive face creams— the best beauty parlor is your local dentist. An attractive smile and great teeth are the best way to forgive and forget the rest.
The most important beauty routine of all? makeup removal! And deep cleansing, even without makeup. Makeup in bed is strictly forbidden.
Drink carrot juice. It tastes good, makes us happy, makes us beautiful—logical.
The Parisian is happy to retouch her makeup during the day with a dab of powder from her compact (always on hand). But she might just as easily forget. And when a tired face rings alarm bells during the evening, there is just one solution—it’s time to get some sleep!
“Always wear lipstick,” says Terry de Gunzburg, French makeup artist and creator of By Terry. “French women do not wear a lot of lip gloss; they favor lipstick, often red, and never leave their apartments without it.”
Do you have a hobby like I do? 🙂 Aside from being passionate in collecting beauty tools… I am also fond in collecting comics and random genre of books. This year and coming 2012, I decided to collect all the books regarding to beauty, lifestyle and home.
Books about Beauty 🙂
These books are all in my bed side and I feel so good reading them all the time. I finished reading Bobby Brown and Universal Beauty 🙂 but then again, I am still reading it all over and over together with half-way finishing Parisian Chic. All these are so fantastic and really boost self-confidence. I am also applying everything that I learn from these babies 🙂
I also do book scrapping since I love taking pictures and updating my vision board! plus writing.
Hobby is a regular activity or interest that is undertaken for pleasure, typically done during one’sleisure time. I highly suggest to you my readers to start having a hobby like the days when you were still younger 🙂 It’s therapeutic and little joys in life. Even you are so busy, try to find time whether it’s “me-time” or bonding with your loved ones 🙂
Thank you to my dearest Aunt (Ninang) Gina Obsequio who gave me the Universal Beauty and all the gifts without any occasion that I am eagerly requesting as pamangkin hehehe!
To my dearest best friend who is the most generous friend ever!(Parisian Chic)
Wonder Woman T-shirts and Havaianas limited edition
I am so happy to celebrate my 27th Birthday with my husband and friends. My husband surprised me after work by going to amusement park which is never missed since I am 18 years old 🙂 It is just that, I didn’t expect that we were going since I already decided to eat at Yang Chow located at Centris. I am a huge fan of yang chow rice and I hope that I remember the name of that restaurant right hehe… then gave me the Havaianas limited edition of Wonder Woman!!! amazing.
I also felt proud owning a new toy named “sisig” that he won from the basketball in amusement park 🙂
Proud wifey 🙂 whatta swag!
Then not to forget my best friend Mylene who always love to shower me with beautiful things!
Gift from my best friend 🙂
I decided to open the other one on Christmas day since it was beautifully wrapped 🙂 and read the Parisian chic as soon as she gave it to me! I love Parisian lifestyle and I’m so in love with it (clothing, lifestyle, interior and taste) Reading books, collecting and smelling them makes me happy. She also gave me the Wonder Woman T-shirts that was a limited edition in Folded in Hang but instead she got the beautiful shirts from DC Comics store! I love Wonder Woman so much ❤
I am just so thankful for another year that God has given to me and I am indeed blessed especially having a good relationships that I mostly invest before anything else.
