Suesh Brush Guard

Suesh Brush Guard (Php 250.00)

Hi everyone!

I really invest with great quality make-up tools because obviously, it last longer than make-up and it’s all about blending and using the right makeup products. I love make-up brushes than sponges, so when I discovered Suesh Brush Guard from a friend… it was truly a blessing for my brushes.

You can even use the brush guard while drying your brushes whenever you cleanse it and the result is great because it makes the brush stay in shape. I do cleanse my brushes every week which is a must for hygienic purposes! πŸ™‚

10 pcs. per pack

It has 10 pieces of brush guards per pack with random sizes. There’s no other variety than this tho’ but I highly recommend brush guards to take care of your beautiful make up brushes πŸ™‚

Hi everyone!

Last Saturday, I was invited to attend a Sparty courtesy of Diana Stalder by Dermaline which was organized by Noria Adam Lim or simply IA. I am so happy to be part of the first leg as we celebrate the 15th Anniversary of Dermaline with other passionate beauty maven’s like me πŸ™‚

When I signed up, I didn’t expect anything in return as I always love attending beauty-related events. All I want is to have more knowledge about beauty products, techniques and other innovations in discovering fountain of youth LOL!

I never tire knowing all about beauty stuff. It really makes me happy, like a kid in a candy shop.

Where the magic happens!

The Casmara Treatment

A must-try at Dermaline that offers different Casmara Masks for every skin-type. I already experienced their regular facial in Dermaline branch in Sauyo but Casmara wasn’t available during that time (2-3 years ago) It was okay, but nothing compare to the new facial treatment!

Ms. Roselle, my facial attendant ❀

Deep Cleansing

Ms. Roselle thoroughly cleanse off the make-up that I am wearing but I asked to leave my eye shadows for photo op LOL πŸ™‚ but I can say that I was quiet impressed with the procedure in deep cleansing and skin exfoliation. She’s not in a hurry like I experienced in other spa hehe, she took her time and made me feel oh-so relaxed.

I told her before hand that my pain tolerance in pricking is low so she has to understand when tears starts to roll down πŸ™‚ Amazingly, she has a magical hands! I am so into-ZZZzzz-land! Better ask Dermaline Magallanes for Ms.Roselle as your facial attendant!moving on, she has to wake me up so I can see the dirt removed from my face… dami! yuck. (Thank god, di ako kinulang sa hininga o napapasigaw! borlogs)

Casmara Re-affirming Mask 2020

I have tried a lot of different facial mask and this one is way too different. At first I am kinda scared because it needs to occupy my eyes and lips (no chikahan with my friend/ room mate, Jackie Go, who also attended the sparty)

Mask composed of diatoms, which absorb impurities, oil, and catabolic substances that result from cellular functioning.
The algae ingredient supplies very good skin hydration.

It is suitable for oily and combination skins.

I love the effect of this mask on my skin during the procedure. It’s cold, relaxing and I love the scent that once again led me to dream land.

Jackie has a “cuter” mask, its my favorite color pink!

I assumed that her treatment used “SENSITIVE MASK 2040” because there’s two “pink” mask and I don’t know which one is one, let’s ask her?! hehe. Her Casmara treatment: Absolute rt4 retinol *Wrinkle prevention* (good for dry skin)

But hey, it is much cuter but I am not recommending to you readers to look for “cuter” mask πŸ™‚ look for the one that suits your skin aight?!

Jackie and I

Light therapy that freshens and stimulates your skin to breathe. It is also good for hard-to-heal wounds and scars to prevent keloid πŸ™‚

* I love the pricking (no to murder face)

* The effect of the mask is phenomenal and my skin looks good and relaxed.

* Great to know that I can use theΒ  mask again so I take it home! Thanks πŸ™‚

* It’s so inexpensive and effective so I really encourage everyone to at least try it!

House of Obagi

My new skin's best friend πŸ™‚

Hi everyone!

As part of my adventure in searching for the perfect skin regimen, I am now trying the Obagi system from House of Obagi. My dermatologist from Belo suggested it to me unfortunately during that time I have no budget yet for the Obagi system. It’s pricey like La Mer but much cheaper (much better) LOL I think, I’ll try the Obagi system for a while.

I’ve been using it for 2 weeks now and I am loving the result so far… but not yetΒ  swearing on this product since, I have a 6 months observation before I totally L O V E it πŸ™‚ but I am happy that it gives me a fresher skin each day. I hope this will be once again, my skin’s best friend for years. It should be πŸ™‚

My Style and Fashion Icons

Hi everyone!

My Style section is a compilation of pretty littleΒ  things that I adore, from bags, shoes and clothing. I am not really addicted to buying a lot of these things as much as I do in beauty products but I love investing for classic materials for my wardrobe that has a great quality and hopefully I can pass to my future kids or grand children!

My own style often teams vintage finds with new designer pieces. I go for something really simple or shape that has been around for ages and is timeless. I adore French 17th- century Aristocracy to Hitchcock films which ironically these are the styles that really don’t date as they’ve been around and loved for so long that they are now bona fide classics.Β  I love minimalistic approach as much as possible and when I tried to get a little funky, I go for color blocking… that is something adventurous for me and that is only during ‘ber holidays and summer.

Here’s a glimpse of my personal style:

Interviewing Matteo Pellegrini, President of Asia Region, Philip Morris International.

The classic LBD (little black dress) style top with white Bolero, I love LBD! very simple and elegant. and oh by the way! the dominant color inside my closet is black πŸ™‚

Different LBD style πŸ™‚

L-R Atty. Mario Zinampan, Hon. Imelda Marcos, Sofie and Atty. Noel De Luna

I love that dress with purple accent, I use this for corporate events and casual gathering.

with office mate, Atty. Wyanet Zaragoza- BFF of Divine Lee πŸ™‚ I love wyanet, because she's very simple and love her style!

Same style of dress as above but different on top πŸ™‚ Once, I love something… I love to have it in different colors!

A sample of colorful clothing πŸ™‚

I love fun colors but only during holiday’s, happy days,Β  and getaway and oh, I wear pink PJs πŸ™‚

As for Jewelry:

In normal days, I just wear pearl earrings and my wedding ring.

I love White Gold, Turquoise accent, Diamond,White Pearls and a little Gold because I feel old with lots of it πŸ™‚ plus my wedding ring and engagement ring if I want to go overload.

I don’t like piling up, just few will do to complete my wardrobe. I rarely wear a “watch” because it can’t stop me looking for the time and it makes me uncomfortable, its a habit. Plus, I hate hearing “tick-tock”, I rather look on my blackberry.

As for Shoes:

I love high heels! forever, but I must confess I use flats when it calls for a long walk like shopping. The dominant color of my shoe collection is nude/beige, it compliments my skin and makes my legs look longer.

As for Bags:

Now I am blinded by this! I am addicted to signature bags for I don’t know why. It makes me feel secure and pretty! So, I can’t describe what I look for bags, quality and name! O_o

There you go, a glimpse of my personal style.

MyΒ  inspiration comes from fashion Icons mentioned above and I love readingΒ  every thing about them, its interesting and empowering especially my Idol, Queen Rania of Jordan, wish I can meet her personally Le Sigh*.

I am so hooked on classics!

Cooking Diva

Hi everyone!

It’s been a long time since I cook for someone, everyday of my life. I used to cook for my lolo daddy, but when he passed away in 2005, just like the love I have in painting… I lost my interest in cooking.

I kept my self busy in other things where I can’t be reminded with good times with my dad back then, since it’s a tear jerker! He just loves everything I cook for him and that is more than enough.

After years passed by, I got busy with 9-5 job and really lost in touch with the kitchen. I woke up around 5:00 a.m. and need to leave the house exactly 6 a.m. for work. As much as I want to cook for dinner, I normally arrived at home around 9 p.m. latest was 12 midnight and lucky if I reached home around 8 p.m. and that’s the earlier.

Even I wanted to cook for my husband, he is so hungry and can’t wait any longer, during that time we don’t know yet how we will balance our time as a new married couple.

Right now, as we work out our schedule together and currently enjoying my time serving him while I am waiting for my next adventure, this time I know what to do to balance everything so as he and I am glad we are supporting each other.

Moving on, I am learning to cook different recipes and currently perfect doing the following:

This is a no-brainer dish πŸ™‚ I can flip this if I want to! I just don’t add egg because we both find it eww. I just add Magic Milk and ta-dah πŸ™‚ top with Imperial butter and syrup. We have this every morning and if we are tired eating my own version of scramble eggs which I want to brag the best in the world combined with any of these: chickendog, bacon, ham, crispy burger patties, corn beef, corned tuna with chili powder or plain tuna and any thing we want to eat. It really depends! but if he doesn’t have time to eat and really in a hurry, I just eat corn flakes or oatmeal. Breakfast and Dinner is our favorite meal-bonding!

Chicken Adobo

I swear, this is my first time to cook Chicken Adobo because this is one of his favorite. He also requested me to cook for Sinigang which is kinda in a backseat since I hate Sinigang na pork since birth πŸ™‚ anyway, this Chicken Adobo is not that hard to cook tho’ thank to youtube tutorials! I am learning.

Fried Chicken

I guess, we Filipinos love Chicken and yes we are madly addicted to Chicken, if there’s only a cook book all about Chicken recipe! *shrug* will certainly buy it πŸ™‚

My husband (I love saying that- “my husband”) also loves fried chicken but doesn’t eat KFC! weird. He say it makes him break out *boo* well, me too! hehe but that won’t stop me eating KFC!!!

If you’ll ask me the secret recipe to this one: CRISPY FRY

Let’s make life easier, besides he loves it πŸ™‚ if there’s much better than crispy fry breading, please let me know!

Someday, I will cook kare-kare and dinuguan which he loves! but for now… lets make life easier hahaha!!!!!

I love to cook again and my day will not be complete without cooking for my husband πŸ™‚ I will do this forever!

Happy Weekend!

Review: Make-up tool essential- Shu Uemura eyelash curler

It’s in the bible of a city girl to own a Shu Uemura eyelash curler πŸ™‚

I’ve been using this product since College (2006) and my first Shu Uemura eyelash curler just said goodbye yesterday (2011) It really served me well.

I swear on this product, very good investment. If only I can buy separate silicone refill for this eyelash curler, I would… but it is not the same when replaced by other brands.

Hope Shu Uemura will sell silicone refill pad πŸ™‚

Shu Uemura eyelash curler and one silicone refill pad

* Check the curler before each use by gently squeezing the handles together and assuring the top and bottom of the eyelash curler are aligned with the silicone rubber pad. Assure that the pad is firmly in place.

* Use eyelash curler before applying mascara to prevent damage to lashes.

* Always use eyelash curler with a mirror and be careful not to pinch or tug on eyelids or injure eyes.

* Alwayssqueeze curler gently; execssive force may result in broken or pulled-out lashes.

* Release handles fully before removing the eyelash curler from lashes to avoid tugging or breaking of lashes

* Never misshape or bend the frame of the curler

* Do not use this curler or any eye product if your eye is injured, irritated or infected. Consult a physician promptly.

Cost: Php 1000.00 (worth every piso πŸ™‚ )

When to replace

The Shu Uemura eyelash curler will perform consistently until 2 silicone rubber pads wear down.

Regularly clean the silicone rubber pad with a tissue and replace with new when worn.

I highly recommend this eyelash curler, I have a short eyelashes and it really works fine with me πŸ™‚ soulmate!

Shu Uemura is available at Rustan’s in Edsa Shangri-la and Rustan’s Makati =)
